What is this blog?

Hello reader. You've probably clicked on this link, because you want to figure out what this whole blog devotion thing is all about. Surprised I read your mind? This blog is full of surprises.
First off, I'm Carly. I'm trying to read the entire Bible by the end of the year, and as you can imagine, it's pretty darn tough. It's tough to remember to read, and it's tough to even remember what I read. So, in order to remind myself about what happened, I'm blogging about each day's readings. You, obviously, are welcome to read with me, if you like. If not, I guess that's cool too. You can just check out the sweet apps and backgrounds I have posted around the site, maybe share this website with your buddies on Facebook or MySpace, or even tweet a little about it on Twitter. Your choice.
I want to personally thank everyone who has read this blog, and told people about it. I honestly don't care how many readers I get or whatever. I just really want this blog to make a difference. Maybe cause world peace or something along those lines.
As for the primary goal of this blog-- there isn't one established yet. I guess I just want people to be able to depend on a website that's good, clean, and encouraging. There's so many dirty websites out there inhabited by creepy stalker people that I figured everyone should at least have ONE place they can peacefully read about the Bible. I also want people to get closer to Jesus, and I'd be thrilled if I could help out with that.

Oh, and if you are currently working at a publishing company, whoever you are, feel free to contact me, because I know you're dying for me to write a novel. I'm dying to write one, actually.

He washes his disciples feet. washing someones feet was usually done by the lowest ranking person in the room, it was a dirty job because everyone wore sandals on the dirt roads, plus everyone walked everywhere. When Jesus does this he knows that his time on earth is coming to an end and that he needs to teach his disciples another lesson: humility. We all need to take this lesson in, especially in the world we live in today, sometimes we think things are beneath us to do, maybe it's babysitting your little brother, moving the lawn, cleaning up the house, or something more. But we need to learn that we need to be willing to do God's work in the world, doing whatever it takes to get His message out there. To me, there are two things that get in the way of making good, clean decisions: Hate, and Love. Two passionate emotions, which BOTH can lead to rash decisions you're bound to regret later.
