Read these three chapters with your very own Bible... or at www.bible.com, or with the BIBLE READER to the left of this post!
I liked today's reading. Most of it was pretty reassuring, actually. I especially liked when it talked about God being with the Israelites because of His PROMISE. I believe God will never break His promise, and it's good to know He did make the promise to bless our ancestors' people.
Thank God for our ancestors! I realized today, also, that Moses was recalling most of the things that happened years before, like when the Israelites were slaves in Egypt, and how they made a gold calf to use as a "god," and how they were disobeying God over and over and over.
But anyway, when I read that, I realized that there were SO many people who didn't obey God, and only a few stuck out and really loved Him. These people were the Israelites forefathers, the one's God talked about so much.
Remember Abram? He left his family just because God said so, and ended up being the father of millions, just like God promised.
And Joseph, who continued to obey God even though all his brothers hated him and threw him into a hole! That's some dedication.
Today, try and follow Jesus better, and more often. No one is perfect, so don't be afraid to slip up a bit. But over the last few weeks, there have been SO many laws that weren't just put in the Bible to take up room. We should take note of them, and obey them, just like our ancestors.
Peace out.
