1st Chronicles 17-19

If you can't tell already, I changed the layout of the website. I'm not really sure why, I just felt it was time for a new beginning or something. I was having fun redoing the picture (above) and it was fun to pick out a theme. Everything is the same, content wise, on the site... except instead of having everything on the left, it's on the right.
So, today was more of the story of David and all of his achievements. I was especially moved when he (David) had prayers for God, then BOOM-- they were answered, right there. There are many things that seem fiction in the Bible, I'll admit. We may never know if Satan was a snake, or if Moses really parted the sea.
But what's important in all of the stories is that we have to believe they CAN happen, because of how great our God is. There are many things, like I said, that might seem a little weird. But can they still happen? Of course! God has the power to do anything and everything in the Bible, AND in modern day times. Especially prayer.
So, be like David. Follow God with your heart and soul, and come to HIM when you need a little assurance. Pray to the only God there really is-- the only one worth living for. David was SO dedicated that he put his faith in Him for everything that he needed.
Then, when God answered his prayers, he gave a prayer of thanks! That's how it should be. If we believe in our hearts that God is God-- what's the limit to what He can do for us? David was so ecstatic that God answered his prayer (on the same day he asked, too,) that he prayed this prayer:
1st Chronicles 17:16-17
‘Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far? And even this was a small thing in your sight, O God; you have also spoken of your servant’s house for a great while to come.'
Maybe this isn't making much sense to you at this moment, but it's important to remember the next time YOU need God that He will always listen to your prayers and will always do what He thinks is best for you, which is-- by the way-- the best for you.
I'll be here tomorrow. Tell some people. Peace out.
