2nd Chronicles 11-16

HE LIVES IN YOU.

Just one of the many great songs from The Lion King, which could be one of the greatest movies ever made. It's a great movie for kids and adults alike, with a great storyline and music... but have you ever thought of it being-- a spiritual movie?

Disney isn't exactly a Christian company, it might have some good principles and everything, but I think there are a lot of hidden meanings that you might not be aware of. Until now, of course. If you've never heard of the song "He Lives in You," you should. It is, like I said a great song.

But don't just listen to it to get the feel for it, look it up and listen to the lyrics. Be aware for anything that seems a little bit Christian related, anything that I might talk about today. Here, I'll even provide a handy little link to it:

How about that, right? It's like my new favorite song. I know, I know. I'm a nerd. But so what? It's a good song, and it has a lot of really good points that we can take from it.

First off, the title. "He Lives in You?" that's got to count for something. It does. Jesus (the Holy Spirit) lives inside every single person that has faith in Him. If you accept all He stands for, and follow Him with your soul, then HE LIVES IN YOU. Simple as that.

And, did you catch the line in the chorus that says "He watches over everything we see"? I took this line as God sees what we go through, and since He's living inside of us, He can help us through all out hardships. Cool, right?

Then, there's another cool line in the chorus, "in your reflection, He Lives in You." If you think about it, it's almost asking a question: Is Jesus visible in your life? Can others "live" the spirit of Jesus through you and your actions?

When you look back (or REFLECT) on things, does it show that you've lived for the one who saved you from sin? If not, your reflection can always change.

Now, I know, I know... this has nothing to do with the reading yet. But if you'd look in 2nd Chronicles 13, you'll see what I mean. If you haven't already, please read the chapters for today at http://www.bible.com/ or with the BIBLE READER to the right of this post.

Anywho, one king in today's reading was in a war with another land, (which seems to happen a lot in the Old Testament.) But when they were facing this battle, the others didn't have the faith in God that the king of Judah and his people had.

So, the king, Abijiah took advantage of this opportunity and proclaimed his faith, right before the battle began. He was all "hey sinners! My people follow God, and He's going to help us in this battle!"

It sounds a little braggy, but when you think about it, when Judah totally CREAMED the others, it must of had a lasting effect on everyone. Like, "their God must be pretty special, if He can
save them from us!"

So, don't be afraid to proclaim your faith. Jesus is living in you, and will help you with whoever you will face. If you give thanks for your victories, and look in your reflection to make sure that it's evident to others that YOUR GOD LIVES, then you shouldn't be pretty far off.

I hope that makes sense to everyone. Email me with any questions, or comment below.

Go in Peace!!
