2nd Chronicles 20-24

STICK TOGETHER.

It's important to stick with buddies or stick up for what you believe, but it wasn't until recently that I thought about sticking together with your Christian family.

In today's reading, just that happened. If you haven't already, please read the above four chapters at www.bible.com or with the BIBLE READER to the right of this post.

Sometimes, life can seem pretty failing. God's love appears as if it's showing up less and less, and instead of praying about it, we blame others, or blame the world in general. But for almost everything that you're going through, you can lift the burden by sticking together with the people who believe the same.

Ask them any questions, ask them for prayer. It might sounds needy or whatever, but it's important to seek the advice of people you trust and work together to solve a problem.

For instance, in today's reading, Joash was king. But this crazy lady was upset that her son couldn't be king, so she stormed in on their celebration and bashed the party. The poor king was only six years old, and must have been mortified. But the elders that he appointed all stuck together and took her outside town and killed her.

Now that I think about it, this isn't a very good example. I mean... when times get tough, I am NOT instructing you to gang up on the troublemaker and beat them up on the outskirts of town...

But for a more modern day example, you might be stressed about something or someone... so you can ask for prayer from people. Things might not turn out as planned, but you can just know that God was present in the situation, and He meant for it to happen. Meanwhile, you can take a few breaths and know that the burden is lifted a little.

It's good to depend on someone, especially when you really need them. So go make a little support group of your own and share the burden with them, or with Jesus!

PEACE OUT!

Whenever there are two or more asking in prayer, God is definitely there! It is good to have a strong Christian support group. They can help you with decisions you are struggling with, as we know God is always there, but sometimes it is just good to have someone "with skin on" to help you! ha!
