GET THE HINT-- REPENT!
Don't you just hate it when people don't get the hint? You're trying your hardest to get the point across, but they just don't seem to pick up on it. It's annoying, right?
So, then, imagine what God will feel when he's trying so desperately to get His people to believe and have faith in Him, and they still refuse. He'll send plagues and earthquakes to try and get people to understand that He is God, and no one else can be stronger than Him.
But instead of understanding that, people will reluctantly fail to take hope in Him, and their chances will be up.
The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.
The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.
Revelation 16:8-11
Why do we refuse? We need to give in now, before things get worse. God is trying to warn us, and give us the hint. Make sure you get the hint and repent of your sins! God will still love you, and although it might hurt to accept that we're wrong... it will be better in time.
