Galatians 4-6

THE ONLY THINGS THAT COUNTS.

The Bible is a pretty lengthy book, don't you agree? It's not like there is one specific sentence that sums up everything it has to say, because there are SO many aspects to the Bible.

However, there are also many things that can be used as guidelines, and I loved Paul's quote in today's reading:

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

Galatians 5:6

I'm not saying we need to base our life off of this one verse. But I love how simple yet profound this verse is! It's just a perfect way to teach others about the love of Jesus-- that it's not about being perfect, or following laws.

It's about expressing your faith to others by simply loving them, and that is just SO comforting to me, for some reason! We don't have to be perfect! God loves everyone, no exceptions.

And we don't have to pray a certain way, or go to church a certain number of times. We need to have faith in Jesus, and love others because of that.

Make sure you make room for Jesus in this busy holiday season. He's the only reason we have Christmas, so we should probably give Him some credit for it!

He washes his disciples feet. washing someones feet was usually done by the lowest ranking person in the room, it was a dirty job because everyone wore sandals on the dirt roads, plus everyone walked everywhere.
