REJOICE!

Today, my friends, we shall rejoice. NO MORE RULES! If you just logged onto this blog, you probably have nooooooo clue what I'm talking about. However, if you're a regular here, you can see that for the past week or so, the chapters that have been assigned were boring rules, and regulations that the Israelites were to follow. (Yawn.)

Today however, we are reading a story about Moses and Aaron and their big ol' family! First, Moses called his brother, Aaron, and all his sons to the altar at the tabernacle they all built to worship and sacrifice to God.

Moses followed all the rules that God set out for sacrifices, and he dressed Aaron and his sons appropriately, had the appropriate sacrifices lined up... the whole bit.

Then, of course, the sacrifice started. Moses and Aaron had a huge sacrifice ceremony, with many animals and rituals and everything. They payed very much attention to the rules of sacrifices, and did everything right.

Later, however, two of Aaron's sons did NOT follow the appropriate rules for their tabernacle... and offered "unauthorized fire" before the Lord. Big mistake.

God didn't create all those laws for nothing! He tried to tell them all that there is a reason for what he says, and when Aaron's sons disobeyed such laws, there were to be consequences, and Aaron's sons died.

Aaron was very sad that God had decided to take away his sons, even when Moses tried to tell him that it was for a good reason. We haveeeeeeeeee to trust in God with whatever happens in our life. He has a purpose for everything, and I know I've said that many times before, but that's only because it's completely and 100% true!

So, rejoice! When times are good, when times are bad... God has a plan for both things!

When times are good, be happy. But when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future.
~Ecclesiastes 7:14

That's my favorite verse. It shows us that it's important to REJOICE in everything we do, because we're alive and well, and there's a God watching over us.

Go in Peace, and REJOICE!
