Day Twenty-Four

Day Twenty-Four -- Exodus 28-30

Read these three chapters with the BIBLE READER to the left... or at http://www.bible.com/ if you haven't already.

What is with the book of Exodus and rules? It's like every verse. Just rules, and regulations and "do this" and "don't do that."

It's boring! Some people might find that it's boring, anyway. But, I believe that everything in the Bible is put there for a reason. Theses last few days have been mostly about the first tabernacle that Moses and the Israelites were to build, and how to build it, where to build it, why to built it, etc etc etc.

What can the message possibly be here, right? Why on Earth would we want to know how exactly to build an altar? Or, how the elders of the tabernacle were to dress?

The only message I can portray is this:

God does the unexpected sometimes.

Who knows why he put all those laws into the Bible about things that seem pretty silly to us. But the fact is, he is the smartest person in the world. In the universe. He created it, after all! We can't question little things like his choice in the Bible, and we can't question why he does bigger things, either.

No one knows why innocent people died in the Haiti earthquake. No one except for God, anyhow. He was a huge plan for everyone, whether or not we see it. He knew everything about each and every one of us, before we were even born.

We aren't the ones to question why he does what he does, we just have to trust that God has a plan, and that it will all be alright.

I'm not sure why people can not believe in God. Each breath we take, each step we take, every move we make is for a purpose. Every sunrise, and sunset, every earthquake, every death.

He has a plan. If you don't believe that, then maybe you shouldn't read this post. I believe there's a God out there someplace, and not just any God. The one and only God of heaven and Earth, who sent his son to die for us.
If you don't believe that, I'll be praying for you.

If you do, try and tell others to be more like Him. It's either Heaven or Hell when you die... your choice. You can believe, or not believe.

But here, right now, on Earth, we have to live like it's our last day. There are millions of songs and movies about it, right?
Live your life. There are even slogans about it.

Don't doubt God... and next time you think you're perfect... try walking on water.

I saw that on a bumper sticker :)

Have a fantastic day, and think about how to make your life (and the people around you's life) better.

Go in Peace!
