Zechariah 1-5

THAT'S A LITTLE WEIRD...

Did yopu guys feel that today's reading was a little strange? There were all sorts of dreams and visions, and it was just weirdddd.

But I want everyone to take notice and understand that just because I say it's weird, does NOT mean it didn't happen! Once you think about it-- weird things happen all the time. But does that mean they don't really exist?

Zechariah had some really weird dreams sent from God. But just because they were weird, doesn't mean they're fake. I once had a dream I was being chased across a drawbridge by an invisible Chinese murder. Just because it's completely WEIRD doesn't mean it didn't happen!

God is so SURE of all He's saying, because He has the power to make it happen. He has the power to make anything happen. So why do we doubt that He's real? Why do we doubt ANYTHING? Because it's weird, right?

Well, so is sprayable cheese. And outfits for your dogs. But both of these things are available at Wal-mart.

So, my POINT here is that no matter how weird something is, that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. And even though some parts of Christianity are a little strange, the feeling I have in the pit of my heart tells me it did and can still happen!

Faith isn't something you can see. It's something you can feel. So, jump in! Feel the unreal.

Proclaim further: This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the LORD will again comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem.'

Zechariah 1:17

It sounds crazy that there's a God in the sky. It sounds weird that He sent His one and only SON just to die on a cross for our sins. It sounds crazy that He can be living inside of every one of His children.

But it happened. It's happening now. And it's going to keep happening.

Peace out.
