March 3rd -- Deuteronomy 33-34 (LAST CHAPTERS!)

Hey everybody! It's the last day of reading rules, in case you didn't notice. Sure, there will be more various rules sprinkled throughout the Bible, but for now... there shouldn't be anymore reading rule after rule after rule. Imagine what it is like for a Jew... they not only have to READ these laws, but they have to FOLLOW all of them, too! Oh my goodness!
But I'm not here to talk about rules, or Judaism. Have any of you ever read a reallllllly good book, and you can't WAIT to read the rest? Or, maybe, it's a horribly boring book, and you expect it to have a fantastic ending to compensate for all the boredom. Whatever the instance may be, you always want a book's ending to be good, especially when you've put all that time and energy into reading it.
That's what I think about Deuteronomy, and the rest of the books we've read in the Bible. We've read rule after excruciating rule, and you'd expect that good overcomes evil, and the good guy gets what he's always desired. THE END.
But in these last few chapters, it's been the exact opposite. Good old Moses has done everything he's supposed to do, all in hopes that he will lead God's people into the promised land. Turns out, he DOES lead all the people there, but God doesn't let Moses himself enter. WHY?!?!
To find this burning question out, I did the unthinkable. I googled it. And, after reading several comments, I've figured that most people on the internet THINK they know everything, but know almost nothing. Kind of like me. I know you're not supposed to google things like this, but it brings up a couple good opinions.
Some believe that Moses wasn't patient and didn't trust God with his whole heart. What do YOU think? Drop me a line.
As a general answer, God always has a plan for everything. God knew Moses wouldn't be able to enter, and His decision is final... always. So, there you go. I think this is important to trust in God, even when we don't agree with Him sometimes. He keeps his promises, and He has a wonderful plan we might not know yet.
Keep that in mind. Be happy for what you have, because even when it seems like we don't have anything, God knows what He's doing. Got it? Good! Go in Peace!!
