LISTEN, GOSH DANGIT!

It's an interesting title... but today's chapters made me a little angry with the world. Not exactly the Bible's purpose, I guess... but I suppose today's chapters could of been written to show us what we need to work on with the world, and what we need to improve.

So, the big question:

What DO we need to improve?

As explained in the title, we need to LISTEN, GOSH DANGIT! We need to read what God has to say in the Bible, but also need to LISTEN to what it has to say. There are many great points in the Bible, all of which we need to understand and put into action!

What's the point in trying to read the Bible in a year if you don't do anything about what you've read? Take action with what you read. Listen to what God has to say, because there's no way of remembering all He has in store for us if we just read about it a little each day.


This is what the LORD says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
"I am the LORD your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.

If only you had paid attention to my commands,
your peace would have been like a river,
your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

-Isaiah 48:17-18

God has a lot He wants us to understand. We might not undertsand why it's said or what it means... but we need to take action with what we do know and spread the word, like it's written.

Today God talked about sending a savior for the Gentiles... guess who that was? Jesus! Jesus was sent to tell others about God and to show us how to live.

So let's start living.

If we listen to God's teachings, and try to follow His commands, then the peace we get will sustain us daily.

He washes his disciples feet. washing someones feet was usually done by the lowest ranking person in the room, it was a dirty job because everyone wore sandals on the dirt roads, plus everyone walked everywhere.
