CHOOSING THE UNEXPECTED.

I hate when the expected happens. In today's reading, it explained how God does unexpected things. Therefore, I've found another reason to love God.

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.

1 Corinthians 1:27-29

God could have done the boring thing and made Jesus be some super strong guy with a hugely famous family, that way everyone would easily know Him and want to follow Him. But instead, Jesus was born into a family of carpenters in a lowly manger.

God gives us a choice. He doesn't make His power obvious, but lets us choose whether or not to follow Him. He is unexpected and raw and REAL, even when the world tries to push Him aside.

So don't be like everyone else. Don't just NOT believe in God because it's what everyone else is doing. Go out on a limb, and learn what it means to follow this crazy unexpected God. God chooses unexpected things and unexpected people to lead His kingdom, and you are one of them. Get started! Find out what it means to be called by Him. Because you know what else is going to be unexpected?

The day when God comes back here on earth for the final judgement. He'll sort out the believers and nonbelievers, and you'll probably want to be ready for that.

Our God is an AWESOME GOD! I am so glad He has the plan, and not me, as sometimes my choices are not so good! ha! His are always good, no matter how unexpected they might be.
