1st Corinthians 10-13

BODY OF CHRIST

Sometimes Christians are referred to the body of Christ. This makes sense, as we all are different parts of this huge loving body. And as expressed in today's reading, we are sometimes unhappy with other parts of God's body.

However, if one of the parts are failing, the whole body fails.

If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body.

1 Corinthians 12:17-20

I also liked this analogy:

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

1 Corinthians 12:4-6

We all have different roles, and we must love each other despite of the differences.

Make sure you read the passage on love, too. It's a great one!

I'd also like to wish my sister a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Peace out.
