Acts 27-28

UNTEACHABLE

I felt bad for Paul today. The chapters are the end of the book of Acts, by the way! So read 'em now so you can understand my frustration.

Poor Paul was trying to get his point across to the Jews. He was trying to explain Jesus and His purpose in their lives, and most people ended up believing.

But there always seems to be the certain outspoken people who decide they'll become unteachable. They're unwilling to listen, and unwilling to accept Jesus into their hearts.

Frankly, it just stinks! For one, you feel like you've failed in giving hope to someone. Then on top of that, that person is missing out out Jesus' love and ETERNAL LIFE!

Some were convinced by what he said, but others would not believe. They disagreed among themselves and began to leave after Paul had made this final statement: “The Holy Spirit spoke the truth to your ancestors when he said through Isaiah the prophet:

“‘Go to this people and say,
“You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.”
For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them."

Acts 28:24-27

Peace out, people.

It must have been frustrating for Paul. There are always some who will not listen, but we should never give up trying to live a life that depicts how Jesus would want us to live, and speak out whenever we can to reach non believers.
