Psalms 34-37

WAIT!

Today's reading mentioned waiting on the Lord a lot. I guess we could make a long confusing definition of this, but if you take it literally it makes sense too.

Sometimes, no matter how much we pray about something, if doesn't turn out like we hoped. We clutch to the belief that God will answer all of our prayers, and even though many times He does, sometimes he has a different plan. It's hard to understand, especially when we pray forever about another result.

We sometimes think that God doesn't listen, or He doesn't care. Maybe I'm the only one who feels like that sometimes, but I'm just going to take a guess that most everyone goes through times like these.

But then we read the daily Psalms, and rethink. God DOES want everything to work out for the better. He really does. But maybe His definition of "better" is different than ours. If we just wait it out, and keep faith in Him, then things will get better.

But we have to wait a little bit sometimes, because God has a plan, ALWAYS, if we just wait.

Here are some verses that further this belief:

Psalm 37:7

Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him;
do not fret over those who prosper in their way,
over those who carry out evil devices.

Psalm 37:34

Wait for the Lord, and keep to his way,
and he will exalt you to inherit the land;
you will look on the destruction of the wicked.

God WILL be there for you, always. Sometimes we just have to be patient until it becomes more clear. In the mean time, PRAY ABOUT IT!

Peace out.

Waiting...patience is not one of my virtues. I have a hard time with it. Sometimes, later, I see that things did work out for the best. You are right, keep praying, and if your way does not seem to be working....if you are praying and keeping God first and foremost, you may see the good in another plan down the road.

Yepp! I'm not patient either, for the record. But one day...
