HMMM... TEMPTING...

My awesome Pastor had a sermon about tempting things, and I thought this was a good day to talk about them. When I was reading, a few verses popped out to me, and when I put them together, they made a pretty sweet message:

DON'T BE TEMPTED. STAY TRUE TO GOD.

It's easier said then done, I know. Wayyy easier. And I know that my words probably won't persuade you to follow God, so I've put His words for you instead:

Psalm 73: 1-3
Truly God is good to the upright
to those who are pure in heart.
But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled;
my steps had nearly slipped.
For I was envious of the arrogant;
I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

Psalm 73:10-11
Therefore the people turn and praise them,
and find no fault in them.
And they say, ‘How can God know?
Is there knowledge in the Most High?’

Psalm 77:10-15
And I say, ‘It is my grief
that the right hand of the Most High has changed.’

I will call to mind the deeds of the Lord;
I will remember your wonders of old.
I will meditate on all your work,
and muse on your mighty deeds.
Your way, O God, is holy.
What god is so great as our God?
You are the God who works wonders;
you have displayed your might among the peoples.
With your strong arm you redeemed your people,
the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.

I know the verses are pretty randomly placed, and maybe you don't see what I do. But these words are just reminders that there WILL be temptations by others, whether you're Christian or not. But if you remember all God has done for you, hopefully you can think of plenty of reasons to praise His name instead of sin.

That's about it. I'm going to Mexico tomorrow, did I tell you that? I'll blog a little before I leave. Keep me in your prayers!

Peace.

That is but one of the many rewards you may reap when turning to the better side of faith. Satan wants your love.

We are tempted in this life, but if we keep true to our beliefs, good things do come to us. It may not be the "good" we want or expect, but the "good" we need!
