February 7th -- Numbers 1-2

Hello kind reader. You only have two chapters you must read if you want to be caught up, and start fresh with a new book. So, whip out your Bible and start reading. Too lazy to go and find your Bible? Or, don't have one?

First, I'd suggest to get a Bible. It's hard to read through the entire thing this year if you don't have one. But until then, you can read today's chapters at www.bible.com, or with the BIBLE READER widget to the left of this post.

Don't know how to read?

Oh yeah. You're reading this, right?

So, let's get started. Yesterday, we finished the book of Leviticus, and now we're onto numbers. No, it really doesn't have to do all that much with numbers. It's just called Numbers. Why, you ask?

You, my friend ask a lot of questions. Some, I will have no answers for. I guess you'll have to ask God then.

So anyway, today, we start the book of numbers, and if you read the first two chapters, you'd realize how many named are mentioned, or... named. Ha ha. Bible joke. It seems as if when Moses was talking about people, all he cared about was their name. But, I'm here to tell you that God is much different.

God cares about what's inside. And, I don't mean how in-shape your lungs are or how straight your spine is. I mean the inside of your heart. (No, not all the blood and veins inside your heart, but the content of your soul.)

You might think when you do something bad, that no one will notice. Maybe you're all alone. But guess what?

God sees everything. It's not supposed to creep you out, either. It's just supposed to remind you that if you're scared, God is always watching out for you. And if you're tempted, God is always watching you.

So, think about that today. And if you're really risky, thing about that forever.

God will never leave you. He'll always be there if you love him, and he'll always take you back if you don't.
