Luke 1-2

WE ARE GOD'S SERVANTS.
I'm not sure if this is completely true or not, but I feel like we're servants for God, put here to tell others of Him. Now, we're not literal servants that are beat and given low pay. But since God can so easily persuade others to follow Him, it wouldn't be fair, right? People should have a choice to believe in God or not, and since seeing God himself would give people no choice but to believe, God sends His disciples, (us,) to preach His word and give people all over the earth the choice to believe.
In saying that, sometimes our work as God's servants can be pretty tedious. We have to follow Him even when times are tough, like when Mary was told she would be giving birth to Jesus.
She wasn't married, she was a virgin, and her entire community made her an outcast because she was pregnant. But God was on her side. He protected her, and provided her with all the help she needed along the way.
God will do that for us, too. He'll give us guidance and help when we're doing work for Him and spreading His word. So, when God calls you to be a follower, will you answer like Mary did:
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."
"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"
The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. For nothing is impossible with God."
"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.
Luke 1:29-38
Are we going to be servants? Are we willing, even when it's hard? I hope we can at least try.
Peace out.
