Matthew 18-20

"LET THE LITTLE CHILDREN COME TO ME."

Read these chapters now with the BIBLE READER to the right of this post or at http://www.bible.com/.

It's a famous story, the one where Jesus tells his disciples to let the children come to Him. We've all heard it, right?

I think we need to concentrate on children in today's society. I know it's COMPLETELY cliche to tell people "children are our future!" but GUESS WHAT? They are. Children are what will be the adults and powerful people in ten years, so we need to pay attention to them.

We need to respect people of all ages, because, just like adults, children are God's creation. We shouldn't look down on them. God doesn't look down on people just because they're young, right? We're all young and inexperienced in God's eyes.

In fact, Jesus even said that we should be MORE LIKE children:

He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

"And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
Matthew 18:2-6

That's intense, people. Listen to the words of God and apply this to your life today!

Peace.
