FULL OF HOPE.

How is your day? I don't mean to be too personal, I'm just wondering. Because, today's reading, to me, was full of this incredible sense of hope... I can't even explain it. If your day is great like mine, then this is just another miracle from God you can add to the list.

But if you day lately hasn't been going so well, please read the chapters for today. The Holy Spirit is moving through them, to an extent where you just FEEL happier after reading them.

Go ahead, read them. I'll be waiting...

So the first part was kind of a drag, right? Jesus was talking to the "prophets" and "teachers." I put them in quotes because Jesus was explaining how these people CALLED themselves father, teacher, master, and they totally weren't. Jesus explains how HE is the only Messiah, the only Master, the only Teacher. This is was oddly comforting to me, in a way.

I guess it just further established the feeling that we believe in the RIGHT God, and that He is true, like He says He is.

Anyway, then Jesus goes up on a mountain, and talks to His disciples, and them tells them about the day when He is coming again. We're all familiar with that, right? One day, Jesus will come back to earth for the final judgement. His followers will come with Him to heaven, and the modern-day people who claim they're "teachers" and "masters" will go....

Somewhere else.

Okay, hell.

Jesus was talking about how the day He comes will be unexpected, and we need to get ready. I loved the parable He used to explain this:

Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 24:45-51

We are the servants, people! God puts US in charge of the world, and preparing for His return! If we pretend like God is coming in a thousand years, and blow off our duties, He will finally come home when we're not ready. What will we do then?

This is juts so HOPEFUL, to me. It's saying that God IS coming, one day. We don't know when, or where, but it's going to be a HUGE deal, and we need to believe and help others believe, in case He comes tomorrow!

There aren't any ifs, ands, or buts. Be ready! Keep faith.

Peace out.
