POWER OF FAITH.

So, Jesus healed a bunch of people today. No surprise, right? A bleeding woman, a dead boy, a sick girl, a dying servant, all of which were just ordinary people like you and me. I was thinking about the whole healing thing today, actually. To me, it's broken up into some simple questions I had after reading:

1. What types of people can be healed?
2. What did they do to deserve to be healed?
3. What healed them?

And maybe the answers I've found for myself aren't 100% accurate. But I'm allowed to have certain beliefs, right? I might take it a certain way, and you can take it any way you want. All of my answers, though, are written in the Bible... so they can't be too far off.

First, what types of people can be healed? According to all we've read so far, PRETTY MUCH ANYONE. We've read about sick people, internally bleeding people, the blind, the deaf, the paralyzed, the demon-possessed... and of course, the normal "sinner" that just wants to be clean again.

I don't believe that Jesus turn away anyone at all! All are welcome, and all receive healing. Even me, even you.

Which brings me to the next point... what do we have to do to get healed? Did these people go to church? Did they pray a certain amount of times in the day? Did they confess their sins to the Pope (or whatever they had back then)? Did they fast?

I guess you can, if you want... but the fact is-- the people did NOTHING special except call on Jesus.

And finally--what healed them, exactly? Is Jesus some powerful superhero or something? Did He perform some special chant? WHAT healed them? Medicine?

Nope. In most all the cases Jesus heals people, He says the simple phrase "Your faith has healed you." Their FAITH was the medicine, and they were brand new. Not because they had some special power or potion, but because they truly called on Jesus and had FAITH that He would save them.

So, let's think about this a little. If anyone can be healed, and you don't need to do anything but call on Him and have faith-- what have we got to lose? We're all suffering. We're all unclean. We all need healing, even if we're not blind or paralyzed.

If you call on Jesus, and truly have faith in Him, you WILL be healed. It's not a complicated thing... right? It's not like you need to fill out any medical forms or contracts. Jesus is there for all people who need His healing touch. He will be there for you if you call on Him and have that powerful sense of faith that will never bring you down.

Please contact me with any questions, because taking that famous leap of faith can be a pretty tough thing. Just remember the light at the end of the tunnel, His everlasting love.

Have a lovely day, folks.

Peace out.
